MapMetrics Hub: Add, Update, and Verify POIs with Community

MapMetrics is giving its community a stronger voice with the introduction of MapMetrics Hub, an online platform where anyone can add, update, and verify points of interest (POIs). Instead of maps being static, the Hub makes them living and community-driven.

This development introduces three connected features: Add2Map, Update2Map, and Verify2Map. Together, they allow users to contribute new places, refine details of existing ones, and ensure accuracy through community validation.

Add2Map: Bringing Hidden Places Into View

Think of the little café down the street or the workshop that never appears on traditional maps. Add2Map gives you the power to make sure those places are included.

Here’s how it works in the app:

  1. Open the MapMetrics app and tap the house icon with a plus sign.
  2. Choose the location you want to add.
  3. Select the category.
  4. Fill in the details like the name, business hours, and a photo. You need to be within 500 meters, and your camera’s location setting must be on so the photo includes GPS data.
  5. Tap the check mark in the top right corner to submit.

Once submitted, your entry moves to MapMetrics Hub, where the community can review it before it goes live.

Update2Map: Keeping Places Accurate

Maps lose their value if they are outdated. That is where Update2Map comes in.

You can:

  1. Find the POI on the map and tap it.
  2. Tap Check In.
  3. Tap Update Place.
  4. Add or edit details like the name, contact info, or hours.
  5. If the place no longer exists, scroll up and tap Place does not exist.
  6. Tap the check mark to submit.

Your update then moves into MapMetrics Hub for review. This process ensures that the information stays fresh and relevant for everyone.

Verify2Map: Power in Community Hands

A core feature of MapMetrics Hub is the ability to verify. Every addition and update flows into the Hub, where members of the community decide what gets approved.

Here’s how you can verify:

  1. Log in to MapMetrics Hub.
  2. Head to the Verify2Map section.
  3. Pick a POI to review.
  4. Make sure you know the place.
  5. Approve or reject the entry.

This process turns local knowledge into collective accuracy. Instead of one team handling everything, the responsibility is spread across the community.

Why MapMetrics Hub Stands Out

MapMetrics Hub is not just a website. It is a meeting point where everyone’s contributions come together. Additions through Add2Map and corrections through Update2Map flow into the Hub. Then, through Verify2Map, the community ensures quality.

This cycle creates a map that stays current, reliable, and reflective of real-world conditions. Businesses gain visibility, users gain trust in the navigation layer, and the entire network benefits from the collective effort.

Benefits for the Community

  • Accuracy: Information is confirmed by people who know the area best.
  • 透明性: Every submission is visible in MapMetrics Hub before it becomes part of the map.
  • Engagement: Users are no longer passive. They are directly shaping the map.
  • Growth: The more people contribute and verify, the stronger the map becomes.

Looking Ahead

MapMetrics Hub is designed as the central point where all contributions converge. The cycle of adding, updating, and verifying makes the map more dynamic with each interaction.

As more people take part, the mapping layer will become denser and more precise. By giving the community these tools, MapMetrics Hub ensures that the map is built by the very people who use it.

Final Thoughts

With the launch of MapMetrics Hub, mapping has become a shared responsibility. Users can now add missing spots through Add2Map, keep details correct with Update2Map, and confirm accuracy with Verify2Map.

Instead of relying on a single authority, the map evolves through the community itself. That shift makes MapMetrics more than a navigation tool. It becomes a platform shaped and verified by its users.
