Most MapMetrics users do not know how the Level system works in the app or which features are unlocked at each level. We have prepared this guide to help you understand the leveling mechanics so you can make the most out of MapMetrics. You level up by gaining XP when you drive in navigation mode with MapMetrics. Entering navigation mode is simple: just set your destination before starting your drive, and you’ll be in navigation mode. If you are an SPT user, note that to level up you must also be in navigation mode.

Earning XP:

XP is earned when you drive in navigation mode after setting a destination. This ensures that every journey you begin contributes directly to your progression.

Important: Even if you have SPT connected, you must actively set a destination to earn XP and progress through the levels.

Leveling Up: 

When you reach the required XP threshold for a level, you automatically advance. Each new level not only marks your progress but also opens up new tools and customizations.

Feature Unlocks

At specific levels, you unlock unique features that enhance your experience and tailor your mapping journey:

Level 2 – Nomad: Sounds 

At Level 2, you gain the ability to tailor your in-app sound experience to your personal preferences. You can easily turn the engaging auditory cues on or off, allowing you to celebrate your progress and stay alerted to new opportunities within the app in the way that best suits your needs.

Level 3 – Wayfarer and Level 8 – Voyager: Tree Planted 

At Level 3, a symbolic tree is planted to mark your early progress, serving as a tangible reminder of our commitment to a healthier planet. This initiative helps counteract the carbon emissions produced by cars and other means of transportation, promoting an eco-friendly and sustainable environment. When you reach Level 8, an additional tree is planted, reinforcing your ongoing growth and dedication to environmental stewardship. Each tree planted not only symbolizes your progress but also contributes to a greener, more sustainable future for all.

Level 4 – Explorer: Speed Cameras Reporting Function 

At Level 4, you unlock the ability to report critical incidents such as speed cameras, accidents, hazards, traffic, construction, and bad weather. This feature empowers you to share real-time updates about road conditions with the MapMetrics community, helping to create a safer and more informed driving environment for everyone.

 Level 12 – Roamer: Hiker Dream Map

At Level 12, you unlock a specialized map interface designed specifically for hiking enthusiasts. The Hiker Dream Map provides detailed trail insights and scenic route options, making it easier to plan and enjoy your outdoor adventures.

 Level 21 – Heroic Voyager: Cowboy Desert Map 

Reaching Level 21 grants you access to the Cowboy Desert Map interface. This thematic map is inspired by the rugged, untamed spirit of the Wild West, offering a unique perspective for explorers who want to navigate desert landscapes and uncover new frontiers.

Level 28 – Eternal Wanderer: Papertown Map 

At Level 28, you can switch to the Papertown Map interface. This distinctive map highlights historical landmarks and cultural gems, providing a rich and immersive view of Papertown’s unique heritage and charm.

Level 34 – Titan Roamer: Atlantic City Map

When you achieve Level 34, the Atlantic City Map interface becomes available. Tailored for urban explorers, this dynamic map captures the vibrant essence and diverse attractions of Atlantic City, offering fresh perspectives on the city’s bustling urban environment.
