How to create a Solflare Wallet

Why do I need a Solana wallet?

Like a regular wallet stores physical currency when you’re not using it, a cryptocurrency wallet is a place to store your digital currency. Crypto wallets store your private keys, keeping your crypto safe and accessible. They also allow you to send, receive, and spend cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and MMaps.

To receive, hold, or send any MMaps you will need to create a Solana wallet. Solana is a low-fee, low latency first layer blockchain, and MapMetrics is built on top of this blockchain.

Why Solflare?

Solflare is a Solana-specific all-in-one digital wallet that allows you to store, stake, exchange, and send your tokens, accessible as a mobile and desktop application, and a browser extension.
Because it’s a Solana non-custodial digital wallet, which means the Solflare team has no authority over your money.
